C.A.T.A.’s day centre activity groups have, since their inception, achieved social and physical rehabilitation for many, who would otherwise have remained isolated, because of chronic illness, age or disability. Participation, confidence gained, speech problems overcome and involvement in community interests have been achieved.
C.A.T.A. has also had a role in raising public awareness of the needs of people with disabilities, in the community, by the efforts of our members to help others, as well as themselves.
Participants, volunteers and the community benefit from such groups as ours.
