Looking into CATA’s future! Upcoming events

2016 is certainly shaping up to be eventful for us here at CATA.

We will be offering our tried and trusted activities as well as some exciting new activities to test out.

Belly dancing with Rachel, chair yoga and jewellery making are some of the new activities that you will find on the calendar. You will also find our favourite activities like music therapy, pottery, woodwork, craft, cooking and art therapy as I know these session are important to many of us.

Calvin and Kazuko wish to pilot a step by step drawing and painting class for everyone to get “back to basics”. Draw and Paint 123.  It is a class activity where a topic is selected, and the technique for this topic is shown on the board so anyone can follow.Get creative with Pauline on Wednesdays at the clay design workshop, making jewellery and possibly recycling or revamping old jars, turning them into works of art.

Nat from Halo Dance will be returning in March, she will keep us fit while we dance and we may even learn a step or two.

This year we will be making a bigger splash celebrating many of the big Days including Valentine’s, St Patricks Day, the CATA Ball, Christmas in July, Melbourne Cup Day and Halloween. So watch out for the Calendar for details and get involved! Let’s make these days special for all of us.

Please come along to our client forums and find out how you can get more involved and have your say. It is at these meeting that we get our best ideas for the coming months.

I am very excited about the plans for 2016, I think this year will be CATA’s best ever!
