Colleen has kindly agreed to give an interview for the CATA newspaper.
Q: How long have you been at CATA?
I started last year, not sure about the exact date.
Q: Are you enjoying being here?
Yeah, it is good.
Q: What in particular, are you enjoying about CATA?
The cooking, doing different things, and learning how to knit in the Craft room. I’m currently working on a knitted door stopper.
(after some confusion on how to knit a door stopper, as I was thinking of a little rubber thing you put under the door.) Colleen clarified: "No the long tube like things you put under the door". (Giggling)
Q: Tell us some of the things you enjoy or like?
I enjoy watching movies, especially Lassie. Also any movie that has Shirley Temple in it, I like her. Just last night I watched the movie Ted, which was very funny, with my brother in law. I also enjoy going on outings and meeting all the people that are on the outing with me. I also love the rain, as it makes everything grow and green and smell nice.
Q: What are some of the things you don’t like? Being called names, and Sundown TV – my brother in law watches it ALL the time.
Q: What do you do outside of CATA? I exercise on one of those swinging seat machines. I like to stand up on it, although I almost fell of it once. I even lost some weight, more then what my goal weight was. – What was your goal weight? 60 something.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to tell CATA? We should do a play – perhaps for Christmas. I used to be an angel at a Christmas play, I really enjoyed that.
Q: If you could make up a story for a play, what would the story be? I will think about it.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to include in the interview? I help my niece around the house a lot, for example doing the dishes. She says I do a good job.
Q: Do you enjoy doing the dishes? Yes, I used to work in a kitchen (Lauren: "you can come to my house”).
Colleen politely declined the offer, but not before having a good giggle.
A big ‘thank you' to Colleen, for offering some of her time for his interview.
